CIVIL/STRUCTURAL JUNIOR ENGINEER
JOB DUTIES: Perform structural design and analysis calculations for stick framed and truss framed, single family and multi-family residential and light commercial projects using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills and experience. Layout and detail projects or portions of projects for both gravity and lateral systems. Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer. Coordinate with other disciplines to include architecture, Civil, MEP and Component manufacturers. Perform structural design utilizing wood, steel and concrete. Responsible for performing projects in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree or the foreign equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related field of study.
EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years work experience in the job offered or a related structural design engineering position.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: 6 months experience with the following: 1) lateral and gravity design; 2) engineering principles including statics, mechanics of materials, and structural analysis; and 3) international code council (ICC) codes, national design specifications (NDS), and ASCE 7.
Primary responsibilities include foundation design, framing design, lateral design, wood truss and stick framing design, management of projects, preparing engineering studies and technical reports, and checking project construction documents.
Qualified candidates must possess a BS degree in Structural Engineering. Position is available for a PE or EIT with valid experience. Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong leadership skills, good organizational skills, self starter, self motivated, strong analytical and problem solving skills, and exceptional teamwork abilities.
Architectural Interns 0 - 3 years experience with Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field. Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD 2014 or later, knowledge of Microsoft Office, Acrobat, and Photoshop.
AutoCAD designer with 1+ years experience. Experience with structural design, wood framing design, or residential design is a plus. Knowledge of AutoCAD 2016 or above is required.
Revit designer with 1+ years experience. Experience with structural design, wood framing design, or residential design is a plus. Knowledge of Revit 2016 or above is required.
All positions require proficiency in the use of AutoCad 2014, REVIT 2014, and proficiency in Microsoft Office
Experience in Commercial or Residential Architecture or Structural Engineering or Construction
All positions are full time with the availability of overtime
